Our Parent Committee is integral to West End Playgroup’s success and we’d love for you to get involved! It’s a fun way to get to know other parents while helping the playgroup thrive.

 

The committee meets once every half term to plan fundraising events and to link up with the management team of West End Playgroup to discuss what’s happening with the playgroup. The parent committee also host events throughout the year including:

·      Halloween party

·      Christmas raffle

·      Summer fair

 

Our committee changes almost every year so we are always looking for new, willing parents to take part and get involved in whatever way they can.

 

As a charity and limited company, we rely on committee members to take on the role of charity trustees and company directors, too. This not only helps the playgroup, it also looks great on a CV! If you are having a career break to focus on family but plan to go back to professional work in the future, being involved in this way is very appealing to potential employers. So many of our committee parents have found that it helps their career to get involved. 

 

But don’t worry – we know life with young children is busy! You can commit as much or as little time as you like. We can’t wait to hear from you.
